Attention classes of 1998-2013: Round up fellow alumni, family, and friends to compete in the ultimate intramural showdown against other alumni teams. Become a team captain and organize a complete team, come as a free agent (and we'll assign you and/or friends to a team), or simply come to cheer on your favorite team or watch WCC basketball on one of the TVs we'll have set up.
Select from games of kickball, dodgeball, 3x3 basketball tournament play, as well as friendly lawn games of Frisbee golf, bocce ball, corn hole, and volleyball. All game participants will receive a free-t-shirt, and the team with the most points will be presented with a grand prize.
Childcare is available for game time and the reception but RSVPs for childcare must be received by February 28.

Bauccio Lecture with Whole Foods' Walter Robb III

The University of Portland's annual Bauccio Lecture features Walter Robb, co-CEO, of Whole Foods Market. Robb joined Whole Foods in 1991 operating the Mill Valley, Calif., store until he became president of the Northern Pacific Region in 1993 where he grew the region from two to 17 stores. He became executive vice president of operations in 2000, chief operating officer in 2001 and co-president in 2004. In 2010, Robb was named co-CEO along with John Mackey and joined the Whole Foods Market board of directors.

Please join us as we welcome Brigid Schulte '84 back to The Bluff. She is a reporter for the Washington Post and is the author of Overwhelmed—Work, Love and Play When No One Has Time. Overwhelmed is a map of the stresses that have ripped our leisure to shreds, and a look at how to put the pieces back together. Schulte spoke to neuroscientists, sociologists, and hundreds of working parents throughout the world to tease out the factors contributing to our collective sense of being overwhelmed, seeking insights, answers, and inspiration.
